Throughout the summer, the music scene has been electrified by the sensational rising artist, CARR, who holds an impressive signing to Pete Wentz‘s renowned DCD2 Records. As the sparks of summer come to a close, CARR has been setting stages ablaze with her extraordinary performances on Fall Out Boy‘s So Much For (Tour) Dust run. Despite the tour coming to a close this week on August 6 after an impressive 29-show run, leading up to the tour, CARR has been issuing single after single in preparation, including “Dirty Shoes,” “Sick Bro,” and her most recent “Spiral City.”

In a mesmerizing moment, CARR graced the idobi Studios in North Hollywood with a stripped-back rendition of her playful and spirited new track “Spiral City.” The enchanting performance effortlessly showcases CARR’s raw talent through her spoken-word delivery.

As she took center stage, the intimate setting of the idobi Studios embraced her like an old friend, creating an atmosphere of genuine connection and artistic liberation. Accompanied solely by her guitarist on acoustic, CARR embarked on a soulful journey, giving her artistic essence a chance to shine through in every poetic verse and cleverly crafted line. While the track is met with tongue-in-cheek lyrics such as, “Honestly, I’m just really fuckin’ horny/And it’s all because you’re so good at the guitar,” at the center of the track is an unrequited affection yearning for reciprocation. CARR’s emotive performance delved into the depths of vulnerability, exposing her desires and emotions in a way that resonated deeply with the audience.
