Yeuku has had a busy couple of years. Bursting onto the alternative pop scene with their debut EP Catch Me If You Can back in 2021, they haven’t let up since. Developing a sound that sits on the dreamier side of the genre, it’s been a bright and breezy journey so far that is about to go into hyperspace. That’s because they have today (July 28) released their sophomore effort, Little Less Noise.
Comprising the three singles that Yeuku has released throughout 2023 alongside three more fresh offerings, it is a comprehensive look at an artist finding their stride in extreme fashion. “One Sided” is intricate and heartfelt, with a tender guest appearance from Abby Holliday, whilst “Median” channels the sort of throwback slickness that have made The 1975 such a household name. Throw in the ethereal glossiness of “Dizzy”, the driving thuds of “Marathon“, and the intimate strums of “Kodak”, and you have an EP of immense depth and sensational quality.

Focusing on the heart flutters and heartbreaks that come with relationships, this is a release that delivers the full spectrum of feelings that falling head over heels can conjure. To jump between having their head in the clouds to head in their hands so effortlessly is a skill that Yeuku has down to a tee. This still feels like the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is to come, but for now, lose yourself in one of the most beautiful things you’ll hear today.
