Yellowcard announced that they were well and truly back in 2022. Now, they have a full schedule in place. They are making their return to the UK at Slam Dunk Festival next week (May 27th and 28th). They also have a full US tour celebrating 20 years of Ocean Avenue to look forward to. But the eternal question was, is there going to be new music? Well, the eternal question has an eternal answer.
Yes.
The band have started to tease a new song called “Childhood Eyes”, in a truly wonderful way. Each member has their own poster, ripped straight from the iconic poster for Trainspotting. Each member has a lyric attached to their poster as well. They are as follows:
Ryan Mendez – “There’s gotta be something more than this / Some other truth I can know”
William Ryan Key – “Am I the only one who isn’t dead inside?”
Sean Mackin – “I’m all alone in an ocean now / And you’re a light on the shore”
Josh Portman – “I know you think you can hold your breath / Until I sink to the floor”
It’s all pointing to a release date of May 31st, so not long to wait at all. There’s a pre-save link here as well, so do the thing.
