After breaking the news that he has signed with Patrick Stump‘s and Pete Wentz‘s independent label DCD2 Records this past week, Los Angeles-based glimmer rock artist Vienna Vienna has officially released his new single, “Vienna (Everything’s Fine).” Vienna Vienna is poised to be your new favorite playlist addition, featuring introspective lyrics and dazzling indie rock rhythms.

The track will appear on his forthcoming debut EP Wonderland, which is due out on October 11 via PULSE Records in collaboration with DCD2. Pre-save the EP here.

Vienna Vienna says of the new single, “An ego check, cold sweat and realization, a bit of a bummer. I approach this like I approach everything, facetiously and lathered in distortion. Accepting that people care about you hurts like hell, but could you learn to be more like them? If you poke around inside yourself for long enough, you might see love underneath the rubble. It might be worth digging for.”

Of the forthcoming EP, the artist shares, “Truly, the whole experience has been very affirming; I knew early on that they totally saw the vision and it felt very natural to team up.”

Vienna Vienna adds, “Pete and PULSE, they just get it. I’m grateful to be surrounded by unique and whole-hearted creativity every day. Strangeness is celebrated here, which is all I’ve ever asked for. PULSE is definitely the right home for me.”

Additionally, Wentz notes that he felt drawn to the rising artist from the first listen. “Have you ever heard something that both felt so familiar and so alien all at once? That’s how I felt when I first heard a Vienna Vienna song. The lyricism feels adjacent to something our band would do, but also completely new and odd in the best way,” he says.

Finally, PULSE founder Josh Abraham shares, “We’re thrilled to partner with Pete Wentz to sign Vienna Vienna. At PULSE Records, we are drawn towards artists and creators who are not afraid to try something new and who are one-of-ones, just uniquely themselves. It’s exciting to see what Vienna Vienna is creating with glimmer rock and we’re thrilled to help support his vision.”
