Tyler Posey has “Dick Lips” tattooed on him. That’s how much he loves blink-182. A band that has affected all of us in some way or other over the years, their discography is the soundtrack to growing up. To falling in love with music and wanting to pursue it yourself.
But when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, what are Tyler’s absolute favorite blink songs and albums?
In his recent interview with Nick Major for idobi, he revealed the particular albums that mean the most to him…
“Dude Ranch is a special album, but also Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, I think I was 11 years old when I got it. That one changed my life. Even to this day, I’m like, ‘How did they fucking write this album’.”
Then the conversation turns to his favorite bonus track. From “What Went Wrong” to “Don’t Tell Me It’s Over”, there have been some absolute belters. For Tyler, though, one particular bonus song is also his favorite blink-182 song of all time as well.
“”Not Now”. I heard it randomly in a sandwich shop the other day was like, ‘What? How? Who? The Angels & Airwaves played after. I love it. It was sick. But yeah, that’s probably my favorite song by blink. [When I saw] the video, I cried. I, for sure, cried.”
“I played a bunch of shows with Goldfinger, I played bass, and the first show I did was with Travis. Travis was playing drums. It was the coolest thing ever. In the second verse of “Superman” it’s just drums and bass, so I literally just stared at him the whole time, laughing and trying to make him laugh.”
How lovely is that?
