Ahead of their highly-anticipated May 24 release of their seventh album, Clancy, twenty one pilots revealed their new track and official music video for “The Craving.”
The music video sees Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun in a paint studio and wood shop, respectively. The duo craft an intricate box and hand-painted bullet. In the end, they offer the bullet to two men in suits who shoot their guns with said shell and miss their shot. Some Reddit users believe these visuals are the band’s metaphor for the music industry.
Though, the lyrics themselves are about Joseph’s wife, Jenna. “Say enough, say enough/Did I let her know, let her know/If I found my body in chains/I’d lay down and wait/And hope she looks for me,” he sings over ukulele strums. Check out the full “The Craving” video below.
Fans can anticipate more music videos from twenty one pilots as their seventh studio album rolls out. In a post on Twitter/X, fans can head to YouTube at 11:45 PM ET on May 23 to watch the rest of the album’s videos.
The act recently announced their tour that will make stops in North America, the UK, and Europe, later this year. Grab tickets here, and check out the tour dates below.
