Following an explosive summer run on the Saviors Tour opening for Green Day alongside The Smashing Pumpkins and Rancid, The Linda Lindas have unleashed the title track pulled from their forthcoming full-length, No Obligation. The group’s sophomore album is slated to drop on October 11 via Epitaph Records and can be preordered and pre-saved here.
“Eloise wrote this ripper because we won’t adhere to what anyone else thinks we should sound like or who they think we are,” the band shares in a press release. “We don’t make music out of obligation—we make music out of love. And we’re so grateful for all of the opportunities music has given us, like going to Japan and making this video with a team, including Naoko from Shonen Knife! Enjoy.”

Introduced by Naoko from Shonen Knife, the video kicks off, “Let’s have fun at this video shoot for The Linda Lindas!” With its unapologetic punk rock attitude, roaring vocals, and in-your-face instrumentation, “No Obligation” defies expectations as a full-throttle punk anthem. Watch the rowdy live performance video for “No Obligation” below.
As summer comes to a close, The Linda Lindas are still on the road supporting Green Day’s Saviors Tour now through the end of September. Check out their remaining tour schedule below and purchase tickets here.
