The Gaslight Anthem Are Starting “Little Fires” With New Track

The Gaslight Anthem are well and truly back now with the release of “Little Fires”, the third track from their new chapter. They returned with their first new music in nine years back in April in the form of “Positive Charge“. That was then followed by “History Books” featuring a certain Bruce Springsteen. It’s all heading towards the band’s new album, also titled History Books, which will be released on October 27. So now, as mentioned, we have a third track, and it is yet another slice of wonderful heartland rock and roll.

Little Fires” feels as quintessential The Gaslight Anthem as it gets. Rough round the edges, beautifully balanced and brimming with burning passion, it’s sure to stoke the embers in your stomach. Exhibiting all of the things that make American rock music so special with all of the characteristics that have carried the band over the years, it’s a spine-tingler to say the least. It also features an appearance from PUP’s Stefan Babcock.

Vocalist Brian Fallon had this to say about “Little Fires“:

Little Fires’ is like the opposite end of the spectrum from the frustration you feel in ‘History Books’. It’s an empowerment song, about refusing to play along with the kind of people who always seem to be throwing a grenade into the room for no particular reason.”
