The UK post-hardcore trio, Static Dress has released a brand new, reimagined version of “such.a.shame” today. The new version comes ahead of the reissue of their 2022 album Rogue Carpet Disaster. The band recently signed a deal with Roadrunner Records and will issue the new re-release titled Rogue Carpet Disaster (Redux) on September 15th. It can be pre-ordered here! Along with the Smoking Lounge Redux of “such.a.shame”, the group has also released a brand new visual.

The new version of the song finds Static Dress in a much more refined, pulled-back sound. The somber approach to the track makes the narrative all the more emotional. Olli Appleyard’s vocals shine through like never before. He showcases a new level of talent and rawness with the lines like “I think that I moved on too soon / Just left here with my thoughts gripped on losing you” and “Dying here with open palms / Final thoughts dead in her arms”.

Earlier this year, the band released another reimagining of their track “Courtney, just relax” featuring World Of Pleasure. This version is much heavier and more aggressive than the previous single, highlighting the band’s dynamic abilities in both song writing and execution. Check out the new album art below along with the music video for “such.a.shame (smoking lounge redux)”.
