Static Dress Has Fans “crying” Over New Single

Static Dress is entering their new era. With socials wiped clean and exciting new visuals, we are definitely “crying” over their new single. The band’s new track and accompanying self-directed music video for “crying” is their first offering since the release of their debut album Rouge Carpet Disaster.

Uniquely, the Roadrunner Records signees began teasing the drop this week with a puzzle on their website. The first 300 fans who solve it will receive a limited-edition flexi disc pressing of “crying.”

The video’s creepy, dark visuals and eerie religious motifs perfectly work alongside the industrial-tinged, heavy-rock instrumentals. “Well I hope you’ve changed/You’ve had time to grow/Like the seeds in the back yard/Our love has grown cold,” vocalist Olli Appleyard sings. Check out the new Static Dress track below.

Soon, Static Dress is set to support Underoath on an expansive tour celebrating the 20-year anniversary of They’re Only Chasing Safety. Not only will Underoath perform their famous record in full, but they will also be performing a secondary set of fan-voted tracks unique to each night of the tour. The band shares, “Every song from every album over the past 20 years will be on the table.” Tickets are currently available here. Check out Static Dress’ full list of festival appearances and tour dates below.
