Ahead of their Riot Fest performance this weekend, State Champs have dropped their latest offering, the anthemic “Light Blue.”

The band shares in a press release, “Have you ever been transported back in time, for better or for worse, simply by the smell of something or someone? Inspired by Dan & Shay’s ‘Tequila,’ we put our energetic spin on this concept with ‘Light Blue.’ It’s a light-hearted track that reminiscences and rollercoasters between airy, bouncy guitars and pop arrangements to a full-blown fuzzed-out chorus that will have you banging your head in between memories you didn’t ask to be dug back up.”

Opening with a hypnotizing, dizzyingly sweet riff, “Light Blue” evokes a sunshiney dose of nostalgia while flexing the group’s evident prowess. It is the band’s third single from their forthcoming self-titled album, which will be released on November 8 via Pure Noise Records. Check out “Light Blue” below.

Following their Riot Fest performances this weekend, State Champs will be performing back-to-back dates at When We Were Young Fest before embarking on their massive fall headline tour supported by Knuckle Puck, Meet Me @ The Altar, and Daisy Grenade. After their Stateside run, the pop-punkers will venture overseas with The Home Team and Broadside at the beginning of 2025. Check out their full touring schedule below and grab tickets here.
