Fresh off inking a deal with Epitaph Records earlier this year, Split Chain has released their new collaborative track, “(Re)-Extract,” featuring Softcult.
Arriving just over a year after the original release of “Extract,” the reimagined track delivers a powerful amalgamation of hard-hitting instrumentation and gripping vocals woven seamlessly together for an intense soundscape. Softcult’s addition introduces a striking contrast, blending softness and heaviness in a way that amplifies the track’s emotional depth.
Of the new single, the band shares, “It’s so easy to get stuck in negative spirals, admitting defeat and accepting it as part of you and your personality, when in fact it is possible to find a way out.”
They add, “Being able to look back now and be proud of knowing that facing up to ourselves, making life changing decisions to better our circumstances through our friendships and our art, and for this to be able to get us all to a place we’d only dream of is mind boggling.”
