Following the release of his PLANET JACK EP, Australian artist SLOE JACK is back with a brand-new single, “LANDMINE.”
“I lost faith in the good of the heart and all the moral law/A walking reject, doomed from the start/I was made to roam the earth and make a home in the dark,” SLOE JACK sings with brutal honesty on the grunge hip-hop offering.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m one step away from self-destruction. I wrote ‘LANDMINE’ about being scared of falling back into my old ways. I’ve come a long way as a person, but still can’t get over my past. If you know what I mean, then this song is for you as well,” SLOE JACK shared in an Instagram Reel.

In August, idobi Radio had the chance to catch up with SLOE JACK in the studio over a game of Truth Or Darts.
During his visit, we got into all of the nitty-gritty, including what era he would time travel back to if given the chance (and there’s a great little song to accompany it), what he’s genuinely afraid of, bad breath versus sweaty palms, embarrassing text messages, and more.
“I watched one episode of SpongeBob one time, and there’s this scene—it’s a SpongeBob episode called ‘Wormy,’” he shares. “There’s an episode where there’s this caterpillar, and he turns into a butterfly. And then, for some reason, there’s a close-up shot of its face with those buggy eyes. Something to do with a close-up shot of those dome-like eyes that ants and insects got. It gives me the fucking heebie jeebies, man. I can’t do it. I can’t do it.”
