After teasing her empowering and sex-positive new single, the queen—Scene Queen, that is—has returned with her latest release, “Finger.” Scene Queen says she wrote the sexually-powerful new track about her “queer awakening.” The single will be featured on her eagerly-awaited debut full-length, Hot Singles In Your Area, scheduled to arrive via Hopeless Records this year.

Introducing her latest track with a cheeky voiceover, “This isn’t a hit baby, it’s a finger banger,” Scene Queen invites listeners into her unapologetically raunchy world of candid honesty about sexual pleasure. With a climactic chorus that hits like a rapid-fire round of Bop It!, Scene Queen exudes the confident energy of Monica Geller‘s “7-7-7” moment across her electrifying new track. If you don’t know this scene from Friends Season 4 Episode 11, do yourself a favor and go stream it now…you’ll pick up what we’re putting down. As the song reaches its crescendo, Scene Queen boldly declares, “If God hated gays, the sex wouldn’t be so good.” Who could argue with that logic?! Perhaps she should change her artist bio to read “plastic, fantastic, and climactic” *wink wink*.

“I wrote the song about my queer awakening,” Scene Queen candidly shares. “I also wanted to flip the script on songs written to sexualize women in a way that was for a man’s pleasure.”

She continues, “I wrote this song about two women experiencing things equally. So the song is vulgar, like any sexual song, but with a woman driving the narrative about her own body and taking control of her own pleasure with step-by-step instructions. Additionally, the song’s music video features a dance made to be accessible to anyone, both sitting or standing. I wanted to feature that in the video because, as someone who struggles with POTS, I was at one point completely unable to dance like I do standing in the video. So I wanted something to make everyone feel included because sexuality and pleasure is something everyone can and should be able to relate to.”

The “Pink G-String” songstress will join PVRIS and Sophie Powers on tour in the UK this April. You can check out her scheduled dates below and grab tickets here.
