Rise Rock n’ Shine: NOVMDIC + Belau

Wake up. Rock out. Repeat.

It’s time to Rise Rock n’ Shine…

Who: NOMVDIC made a splash with their latest album Euphoria and they’re certainly not done yet. After massive tours with the likes of Drowning Pool and The Faceless, the band is honing in on their metalcore sound for a career beyond imagination.

What: The new video for title track “Euphoria”.

Why: The notes of “Euphoria” tell a story, if you’re listening. It’s not surprising the song comes from a concept album, NOMVDIC seem to be masters at weaving tales through metal music. The song gets more aggressive and urgent as it winds along, with each note moving one step closer to the final development of the sound. It makes it stand out from a crowd of heavy metal tracks, ensuring you won’t mistake NOMVDIC for any of the other bands on your playlist.

“This song sets up the story of the album… It essentially tells you what the concept is up front, and then ends with ‘Nothing is fine’ which is the first line of the story itself.” – James Lewis, vocalist for NOMVDIC

Who: In just three years Belau has played over 200 shows in 23 countries, making them one of Europe’s biggest up and comers.  2020 may have delayed some of their plans but they won’t let it stop them. Their latest album Colourwave is out now and they have hopes to reinstate tour plans soon.

What: Hear the electronica act’s latest single, “Together Alone”.

Why: As “Together Alone” drips slowly into your headphones, you’ll feel like it’s changed the course of time. The dreamy, indie infused electronic track sounds like it’s from another realm with Belle Doron’s smooth vocals pouring over every note and beats that match her ethereal tone.

“A song that has received a new meaning during the lockdown by enlightening the real priories of our lives, that we are not living by in our so-called normal circumstances. ‘Together Alone’ is about the well-known deceitful and dissimulating approach on life that most of the people live in nowadays, which reflects on the inevitable fact that we have never been so alone. On the other hand it also represents that if you’re alone it shouldn’t mean that you have to be in solitude by necessity and be determined by your depression that keeps you in emotional isolation. Make your move.” – Belau
