Hailing from Rio Grande Valley, TX, the emerging three-piece Riley!, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Ryan Bluhmm, bassist Kris Gallardo, and drummer Cesar “Izzy” Izaguirre, has issued their latest offering, “Keep Your Cool, Man.” The song acts as the lead single pulled from their forthcoming 10-track album, Keep Your Cool, which is scheduled to arrive courtesy of Counter Intuitive Records next month on April 19.

“Keep Your Cool, Man” emerges through a cacophony of masterfully dreamy instrumentation, heart-on-your-sleeve lyricism, and commanding vocal runs interwoven with distressed screams. Spanning three minutes, the track encapsulates layers of emotions and experiences with remarkable depth and intensity.

The trio’s deliberate choice to infuse the song with a myriad of sonic elements mirrors modern existence’s chaotic nature—the track’s central theme—where time seems to slip away, and there’s always a whirlwind of things happening around you. It’s as if they’ve compressed the frenetic energy of life itself into a compact musical arrangement, detailing this through the infectious chorus: “Every time I try to close my eyes/I get hit with a wave of a million lights/Each and every one of them is saying different things/(Evеry time, every timе, every time).”

Riley! will hit the road with Summerbruise later this month, kicking off on March 23 in Austin, TX. Additionally, the trio will join Hot Mulligan on April 8 for a sold-out show in Indianapolis, IN. You can check out the band’s full touring schedule below.
