Remo Drive‘s classic “Mercy” has been reimagined into a stripped-back, melancholy tune from Field Medic. The somber and delicate cover will appear on Remo Drive‘s Mercy Deluxe LP, due out on October 18 via Epitaph Records. Previously, the group also shared wilt‘s cover of “Please, Please Be Smart.”
Field Medic says, “From the instant I heard this song when it was released, it was stuck in my head. The cowboy style production really resonated with me, so it was really fun to figure out how to recreate it in my own style (with help from Noah from Runnner).”
Additionally, the band notes that Field Medic “sent us two versions of ‘Mercy’ and we loved both! This version is awesome because it showcases his natural talent for finding unique and mysterious sounding chord voicings. His delicate touch and gentle voice offer a new perspective into our sarcastic/ angry song.”

Coming up in the late fall, Remo Drive will be heading out on tour with Hockey Dad. The two artists will be supported by Weakened Friends and Tatiana Hazel. Check out their full route below and grab tickets for the shows here.
