Protest The Hero announced a 10th-anniversary tour in celebration of their record Volition, featuring fan-favorite track “Clarity.” For fans of the 2013 record, the technical metal act is playing the entire record from beginning to end.
The anniversary shows begin on August 1 at Detroit’s St. Andrews Hall and wraps up on October at London Music Hall in London, Ontario. Excitingly, hardcore duo ’68 will bring their “back pocket[s] full of riffs” on the road for all dates. Additionally, Greyhaven and Kaonashi will open on select shows, too.
Protest The Hero shared on social media, “If Volition is ten years old, then that must make us… holy fuck. How are we still touring at this crusty old age? I honestly don’t know, and who can say how much longer we’re going to be able to drag our lifeless-old-skin-sacks around on tour, so you better come see us on this one.”
They continued, “You’re probably even older than us, you should buy tickets because the next time we come around you’ll probably be dead! You’re so fuckin old! We are happy to head out on this tour to celebrate ten years of a record that was made possible by our fans. Our ancient ass fans.”
Tickets go live on Friday, June 7 at 10 AM local time. Secure yours here and check out the full route below.
