Ahead of their Louder Than Life set today, September 26, Point North has dropped their latest offering, “WORLD {vs} PEACE.”
“The sentiment behind ‘WORLD {vs} PEACE’ touches on the struggle or the battle that somebody—either you or someone you love—can go through while they’re trying to find their own inner peace,” the band explains in a press release. “It’s almost like a defense mechanism, it’s like you’re so used to these detrimental or traumatic scenarios where inner peace is so unfamiliar that you just naturally want to fight it off.”
They continue, “It’s almost like you have this Stockholm syndrome for your own sufferings. It’s something that I’ve dealt with, so this is a song that touches on that irony.”
