Paramore made an announcement this weekend and we still aren’t over it. The band is going on tour this year, starting in October, and it sounds like it’s going to be the best time. The last album released by Paramore, After Laughter, was in 2017 and they haven’t toured in 4 years. We’re sure these shows are going to be absolutely filled with nostalgia and fun. Kylie Jenner’s Latest False Sense of Reality

Image via Instagram

On this episode of Celebrities Being Out of Touch, Kylie Jenner has pissed off the internet. It all started with an Instagram post she made, showing her and Travis Scott and a couple of private jets with the caption, “You wanna take mine or yours?” The initial irritation was fairly lighthearted with people commenting on how unrelatable the content was. However, it’s grown into an actual problem when people dove a little deeper into Jenner’s private jet habits. After finding out that Jenner has been using the plane to make trips that are less than 15 minutes long, she’s being called a “climate criminal”. Many are quick to point out that we non-billionaires are suffering through using paper straws to help save the planet. Meanwhile, efforts being made seem completely undone when a celebrity’s jet is being used to get from one side of LA to the other. These are the kind of things that make it seem like the world in Wall-E is going to be our reality sooner rather than later.

Shooting in an Indiana Mall

Three people were killed yesterday in a mall in Greenwood, Indiana during an attack by an active shooter. The shooter was killed by a bystander in the mall who was lawfully carrying their own gun. Neither the bystander nor the shooter has had their identities released. We do not know of any motives for the attack either. Earlier this month, Indiana made it legal to carry a handgun without a permit. AP News reported that the head of the state police was against the decision but state Governor Eric Holcomb signed it anyway. It is important to remember that while this bystander with a gun saved lives, that is a rare outcome in how these situations play out. These scenarios are not often stopped by someone else in the crowd with a gun. It is also important to recognize that the more gun laws are relaxed the more fatal and mass shootings multiply in this country. Our hearts go out to the Greenwood community and the families of the victims.
