Let’s start by collectively taking a breath together now that My Chemical Romance is showing signs of life again. After fans went into a frenzy a couple of weeks ago (this writer included) when MCR’s Facebook page updated its profile picture, the group is finally giving us something to sink our fangs into.
While the Facebook activity was quickly realized to be a hack based on the bizarre posts, headlines, and news stories being shared, My Chem has launched a reissue of their greatest hits compilation, May Death Never Stop You: The Greatest Hits 2001–2013.
The group unveiled the reissue on their Instagram with a caption that cleverly nods to the compilation’s title but also leaves room for their classic cryptic antics. (Yes, we’re looking at you, Frank Iero). The group wrote, “It didn’t stop us,” and included a link to the preorder. Yesterday, they also posted a secondary feed post on Instagram that directed fans to the link in their bio, but that post has since been removed from their grid, and the link to the preorder vinyl is not longer in their bio. Interestingly, they’ve also disabled comments on the post, adding to the intrigue of the reissue.
