Machine Gun Kelly really knows how to make his hometown of Cleveland, OH, and his fans feel special. Yesterday, in a surprise move, as the Lake Erie snowstorm rolled into Cleveland and its neighboring suburbs, Kells, in collaboration with the iconic 400-cap venue, The Grog Shop, unveiled two back-to-back shows set for yesterday evening—one at 6:30 PM ET and the other at 10:30 PM ET. The announcement, previously kept under tight lock and key, generated a massive buzz throughout the city, with fans leaving work and school to try to secure tickets.

Tickets for the events were made available at both The Grog Shop and the MGK-owned 27 Club yesterday afternoon, and fans were limited to purchasing tickets for one of the two shows. Queues of fans wrapped around each location where tickets were on sale and sold out immediately, with many fans walking away empty-handed.

In a video captured by the venue, Kells shares with fans in the dimly lit room, “Just like this venue helped change my entire career, so did my album,” before leading into “title track” from his 2020 full-length Tickets To My Downfall

While each setlist was fairly similar, the 6:30 PM show received a 29-track setlist, and the 10:30 PM show received a 32-track setlist. Kells performed an array of tracks from his early days in Cleveland, such as “Wild Boy” to “LOCO,” which appeared on his 2018 full-length BINGE, to “5:3666” from his 2019 LP Hotel Diablo. He also performed plenty of tracks from his massively popular pop-punk albums Tickets To My Downfall and 2022’s mainstream sellout.

In a recitation, Kells shares, “I know I did it before, but this my best year. I’m not talking about 2023, I’m talking about next year.”

Fans were also treated to a preview of an unreleased new track in which Machine Gun Kelly samples Frou Frou’s 2002 single “Let Go.” Check out clips of the unreleased new track and fan speculation about its release below.
