As Letdown. mastermind Blake Coddington prepares to kick off festival season at the idobi Radio Summer School Tour, the alternative, post-emo act has unveiled their latest single, “Raincoat.”

As the song unfolds, it opens with a steady drum beat and gentle guitar plucks, setting the stage for Coddington’s signature vocal delivery. With each note, his voice rises, carrying the listener into the heart of the anthemic chorus. There, Coddington’s explosive and commanding vocals propel to the forefront, bursting through thick layers of sound with undeniable power and emotion. The continued pulsating instrumentation serves as a stunning, intense backdrop to Coddington’s voice.

Of “Raincoat,” Coddington explains that the track is “the bittersweet dance of two individuals trapped in a relationship they both yearn to escape. ‘Raincoat’ encapsulates the torment of a relationship riddled with apologies yet devoid of solutions, exploring the intricate dynamics of remaining in a situation neither party truly enjoys. It vividly portrays the struggles and contradictions inherent in toxic relationships.”

Letdown. will perform across the debut idobi Radio Summer School Tour, kicking off on July 10 in Cleveland, OH. The tour will also feature Stand Atlantic, Magnolia Park, The Home Team, Scene Queen, and Honey Revenge. Tickets are available here.
