Indie-rock newcomers late night drive home have issued their new single and accompanying music video, “Drug Asphyxiation.” Leaning into their indie-rock tonality and strength, “Drug Asphyxiation” is a mesmerizing sonic journey that’s heightened by a healthy dose of funky synths across the track that feels otherworldly.

The band describes their latest as, “A song about battling your inner thoughts while making sense of them.” Opening with muted percussions, vibrant guitar work, and a sunny synth arrangement, “Drug Asphyxiation”  immediately transports the listener into a cityscape of emotions and intricate instrumentation. The vocals, delivered with passionate sincerity, carry the weight of the song’s reflective theme spilling over with longing and vulnerability. The seamless blend of electronic and rock elements creates a spellbinding sound across the track. The guitar work is atmospheric and powerful, weaving intricate melodies that enhance the song’s emotional depth. The layers of synthesizers add texture and depth, creating an immersive soundscape that envelops you in its warmth.
