Alt-pop artist Knox is staying busy this year with another new single, “Me, Myself, & Your Eyes.” The track includes a sultry music video set-up that’ll leave anyone weak in the knees with its intoxicating and addictive sound.
“We don’t want anybody else here, but us/I don’t need too much tonight/Just, me, myself and your eyes,” reverberates in the chorus. The backdrop of the music video showcases the Nashville artist ready to indulge in a romantic dinner, with the camera set up as a first-person point-of-view with the watcher being in the hot seat. Throughout the evening sequence, he showcases his silliness by dangling fruit like a Greek painting, playing with the candelabras as swords while emitting a light-hearted yet demanding presence.
This isn’t the first instance of him showing off his confidence despite a nervous situation. His previous single, “Not The 1975,” highlights his seemingly endless ‘rizz. Whatever he’s doing is working, though; the song went viral. It also is currently No. 26 on the Top 40 radio charts. And if you can make an impression on the radio, it means you know how to craft a catchy tune.
Household names, such as Fall Out Boy and Ed Sheeran, influenced his works. Meaning he knows how to write about broken hearts, getting the girl, and reflecting on the past, while forecasting the future. So, canonically, Knox is a little bit of an alt-emo artist, too.
