Jazmin Bean Wants To Show You Her “Favourite Toy”

Jazmin Bean has been on an incredible voyage recently. Since 2020 and the release of her debut EP Worldwide Torture, which has received over half a billion streams since, she has been captivating and terrifying audiences all over the world. Combining dark atmospheres with pop sensibility, she has crafted a world where expression and emotion can be mashed together with horror and intensity. As she keeps on moving forwards, closer and closer to total world domination, she has shared another new track, the follow-up to “Piggie” which arrived earlier this year.

That track is “Favourite Toy“, and it has all the makings of being your new favourite song as well. Channelling 80’s synth atmospheres and emo-laced melodies, it is pitch-perfect. Beautiful melodies and cutesy intentions, but with a much more intense and vital sentiment at its core, it is Jazmin at the height of their powers, singing about things that truly matter.

Jazmin had this to say about the song’s meaning:

“It looks back at my relationship with love and sex with a storytelling perspective, exploring the lengths you’ll go to when you’re conditioned from such a young age not to understand what love is. Unlike my older songwriting, this track juxtaposes sound, production and lyrics. It acknowledges the sadness I felt in my self-worth, but the song’s driving melody has an overall sense of hopefulness and catharsis.”
