Jamie’s Elsewhere Invite Us To ‘Paradise’ With New EP

Jamie’s Elsewhere first announced their return to the limelight back in 2020. Following their break-up back in 2015, the five years in between saw their members working on other musical projects and taking on the world in different ways. They shared a new track alongside their news of being back together called “The Soil And The Seed“, but now they are taking things up to another level. There’s a brand new EP, and it is coming in thick and fast.

That EP is going to be called Paradise and will be released NEXT WEEK! That’s July 19. Told you it was coming quickly. It will be released via their new label SharpTone Records. Vocalist Aaron Pauley had this to say about it:

“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve signed with SharpTone Records, and excited to announce the release of our first single ‘Escapist’ from our new EP Paradise. This new chapter of the band has been years in the making, and we’re so excited to be teaming up with the talented and creative minds at SharpTone Records to bring these songs, and this story, to our fans all around the world — both old fans and new!”

The artwork for the release looks like this:

And the tracklisting like this:

01. “Escapist”
02. “Paradise”
03. “Avatar”
04. “Poisoning Eden”
05. “Separate Me”

Aaron had this to add about the concept of the record, which takes on modern technology and dystopian overtones:

“The concept follows a protagonist through the day-to-day grind. He discovers Paradise, which is a metaverse where you can upload your soul. It was a tongue-in-cheek way for us to label a dystopian A.I. The irony is hopping on the internet could never be a real paradise. We went really deep in terms of the story and lyrics.”

And then we have a new song that you can listen to as well. That is the opening track, “Escapist“, and it rolls back the years in the most crushing manner. Dischordant riffs, soulful intentions and plenty of world-building wonderment, it’s amazing to have them back in this way. Quintessential Jamie’s Elsewhere.
