Inbox Jukebox #100: JUTES + Ry

Blow out the candles + pour yourself a tall one…This is the 100th Inbox Jukebox:

JUTES – “Everyone Knows”

JUTES has a very good habit of coming through with the buzziest blends of pop + indie + punk. “Everyone Knows” is a breezy head-nodder that feels like skateboarding on the boardwalk after a bad breakup. But it’s going to be okay because the beat will keep your heart skipping, the guitar is frenetic, and the belligerent lyrics are at their best when you sing them real loud.

Ry – “Hard Seasons”

We’re bouncing on beachy vibes today. Ry has us floating up the scales of an indie-rock jam. One minute you’re snapping your fingers with the acoustic guitar, then you’re bouncing to a trop-pop drum, before you start swaying to a harmonic vocal that goes straight to your heart like a love letter. The sway is strong with this one…Ry-ride on.
