The 2010s have given us some gems from The 1975 to Twenty One Pilots to The Maine and beyond. It’s almost impossible to choose just one album to reflect a whole decade but our staff have spent the past few weeks arguing, digging out their old iPods, and scouring their Myspace pages to narrow their personal picks down. Check out their albums of the decade below and don’t forget to tell us your pick!

PVRIS knows how to create a world of emotion with emo-rock tunes. With ‘All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell’, they use the same formula as they did on ‘White Noise’ to achieve it. #MWE pic.twitter.com/t2l7UaXiW2

Lemonade – Beyoncé (2016) / Hamilton Musical Soundtrack (2015)
Lemonade (2016) by Beyoncé was such a cultural “moment” that was beautifully-done throughout. But the album I actually listened to the most in the 2010s was probably the Hamilton Musical Soundtrack (2015), which represented a different kind of “moment”. But both of them encapsulated a very specific feeling of cultural empowerment for people of color in America towards the end of the Obama Administration.
