Fresh off of a handful of tour dates supporting Marianas Trench, Grayscale has dropped their latest single, “Let Go,” which will be featured on their forthcoming fourth studio album, The Hart. Calling the album their “favorite album [they’ve] ever made,” the 12-track collection is slated to arrive on January 31, 2025.
“This song is about the day you finally feel freed of that situation that’s draining you…” frontman Colin Walsh shares. “It’s sort of a ‘fuck you’ song…”
Arriving as the fourth track featured on their forthcoming record following the release of “Not Afraid To Die,” “Mum II,” and “Summer Clothes,” the Philadelphia natives first began performing “Let Go” in April while on the road. Check out “Let Go” below.
“This is the longest amount of time we’ve ever taken between records, and it’s the longest amount of time we’ve ever spent working on a single album,” the band shares across their social platforms. “In that time, we’ve experienced quite a lot. Not only as individuals, but also as friends – a collective unit.”
They continue, “Addictions, deaths, losing our religion, finding it again, and pulling each other out of (and sometimes through) all the grief that came along with it. It was the most painful period of our lives as humans, and yet it is the closest we’ve ever been… this is not a record about nostalgia. It’s about growth, facing the very real and difficult parts of life, dealing with pain, and overcoming it all spiritually, emotionally, and physically.”
