Games We Play is having a lovely time at the moment. From preparing to tour with Fall Out Boy to cementing themselves as one of Fueled By Ramen’s most charismatic signings, Emmyn keeps on going from strength to strength. And now he is kicking off a new leg of his adventure with a new track. And it’s an ode to not fitting in.
It’s called “All My Untalented Friends (Ooo La La)” and is all about moving to Los Angeles and being surrounded by those who don’t know what the hell they are doing. In the City of Angels, everybody is trying to make it, but some are more well-placed than others. By looking at those who have bought their way to top, Emmyn takes them out one by one. It’s a brilliantly brutal look at everything that is wrong with the music industry in 2023, and will be trapped in your head for weeks to come.

Emmyn had this to say about it:
“I moved to LA a year ago and I hated it and also met some people I didn’t really understand ha-ha, so this is a song about it. I don’t live in LA anymore, by the way.”
It follows on from the Games We Play EP Get A Job which dropped last year. It features “I Hope You’re Happy”, the song that really kickstarted this chapter in his story. It’s a belter and is waiting for you below:
