If you haven’t been touched by Fred again..‘s music over the last few years, you simply haven’t listened to it. A breakout star within the electronic music sphere following years of writing and producing hits for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Stormzy and Mabel, he creates soundscapes that encapsulate what life is all about. Intimate, personal and colorful in all the most vibrant shades, he takes the simplicities of existence and pushes them through a lens that is romantic, rousing and very real. Last year saw the release of the third part of his Actual Life series of records, whilst 2023 has seen him join forces with the legendary Brian Eno for an ambient record titled Secret Life. But now, Fred is back to what he does best and has dropped a new tune that will be the soundtrack to the final days of the Summer.
That song is “adore u“, and features vocals from the stunning Obongjayer. Bringing together raindrop synths with heartfelt and honest sentiments of adoration, it is the sort of track that says the things that many of us can’t do to the ones we love. Slipping between pure rave euphoria and bedroom pop vulnerability, it is a new benchmark for Fred again.. in terms of what is to be expected from him and his art. A soulful, heavenly and deeply gorgeous piece of music.
