Durry Is “Coming Of Age” On Anthemic New Single

Following the success and praise of their previous single “Who’s Laughing Now,” Durry have issued their anthemic new single aptly titled “Coming Of Age.” The brother-sister duo’s “Coming Of Age” is a dynamic and modern indie rock track that pays homage to Dolly Parton‘s timeless classic “9 to 5.” The new track serves as the second preview of their upcoming debut album, Suburban Legend, which arrives September 8.

The accompanying music video for “Coming Of Age” is a visual treat, featuring the duo dressed in ironic office attire, performing amidst a sea of cubicles. The juxtaposition of their energetic performance and the mundane office setting creates a sense of rebellion and chaos. It’s a playful and engaging visual representation of the song’s message.

“Inspired by 2022’s ‘great resignation’ and by both of us being able to quit our day jobs to pursue music full time, ‘Coming of Age’ is about seeing the reality of a dead-end corporate job, and taking your future into your own hands,” the duo shares. “Maybe part of growing up is realizing the life you were told to strive for just isn’t worth the life you lose to get it.”

Durry is set to embark on a 25-city tour following the release of their debut album in September. The group will hit the road in November with Roe Kapara for the first half of the tour before Mega Mango takes over during the second half. Grab tickets to experience Durry live this fall here.
