After sharing Magnolia Park‘s cover of “I2I” from A Goofy Movie and Simple Plan‘s reimagining of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King, Disney Music has officially announced the full tracklist for A Whole New Sound—a pop-punk compilation album.
The record is set to release on September 6 and features the likes of Meet Me @ The Altar, Mayday Parade, LØLØ, Yellowcard, and many other genre faves.
On Instagram, Meet Me @ The Altar shared, “DREAMS DO COME TRUE EVERYONE!!! So excited to tell you all that we are a part of @disney’s new project. ‘A Whole New Sound’ features 12 reimagined covers of your favorite Disney songs all in one album. Additionally, LØLØ shared, “When Mickey Mouse himself approached me wearing skinny jeans and converse and asked me to be on his new punk record, I was both shocked, starstruck, and honored. I mean, I’ve been following this guy’s work since before I could talk, so to get to collab with him on this has been nothing short of a dream come true. I’m so excited for you all to hear my version of ‘Let It Go’ from one of my favorite Disney movies, Frozen!!”
