Creeper has arrived with a thrilling and haunting new music video for track “Lovers Led Astray.” The song appeared on their October 2023-released LP Sanguivore, and features industrial instrumentals and gothic whispers.
“We made the video for ‘Lovers Led Astray’ with one of our favourite visual artists, Harry Steel. The video explores the themes of the song while experimenting with light and shadow, says vocalist William Von Ghould. “It is an unholy communion of light and dark which threads together the themes of the existing Sanguivore universe while presenting something new and provocative at the same time.” Check out the black and white “Lovers Led Astray” video below.
Beyond sharing a new music video, Creeper also announced that they have an official new full-time guitarist: Lawrie Pattison.
In an Instagram post, the band shared, “Please welcome Lawrie into Creeper. After a few years of sessioning for the band, Creeper have asked @lawriepattison to officially join and he has foolishly said yes and agreed. As we all know this means Lawrie inherits the Creeper curse and his soul too is now doomed forever.”
The post continues, “Lawrie is a fantastic guitar player who has years of touring experience under his belt with his band Miss Vincent and is also a wonderful guitar teacher too. Which makes his decision to hitch his carriage to this emotional and financial nightmare train all the more bizarre.”
After a run in the UK, Creeper will be joining Black Veil Brides on their spring 2024 Bleeders tour. The lineup also includes Dark Divine and Ghostkid. Grab your tickets here and check out the full tour schedule below.
