Against The Current vocalist Chrissy Costanza is ready to make her solo debut on October 9 with her EP VII. Today, she offered fans a raw, unfiltered single, “I Tried To Act Your Age.”
Costanza shares “‘I Tried to Act Your Age’ is about the brutal sacrifice of breaking yourself in all the right places just to be enough for the wrong person. It’s the story of being forced to grow up too fast, surrendering your innocence just to keep up, and the heartbreak of realizing that love had turned into a fight for survival.”
She adds, “This song is for anyone counting the scars left by a love that poisoned everything it touched, leaving you haunted by what love was supposed to be.”
VII tracklist:
1. But, What If I Fly
2. 7 Minutes In Hell
3. Pick Your Poison
4. If Looks Could Kill
5. You’d Be Right
6. Some Like It Hot
7. I Tried To Act Your Age
Beginning in September, Costanza will be venturing on the Spin The Bottle Tour with VOILÀ. Additionally, Against The Current will be performing on both festival dates of When We Were Young. Grab your tickets here.
