It’s a good day for Charly Bliss fans! The eclectic power pop group has released their new single, “Calling You Out.” The track will appear on their forthcoming album Forever, due to arrive on August 16. With it, a kooky, colorful music video directed by Adam Kolodny features the band performing on a rooftop, amongst other places. Like many Charly Bliss songs, this is as fun as it is relatable. Its hypnotic melody and empathetic lyrics tell an ages-old story of times when insecurities get in the way of happiness.

With her usual upbeat effervescence, Eva Hendricks portrays those make-or-break moments in a relationship that could drive you crazy. “Hard to believe that you need me/Maybe I’ll force you to leave me/Promise that love can be easy.” Lyrics that translate those vulnerable instances when a partner makes something out of nothing—a deep and unconscious strain many relationships face, especially in the digital era.
