Following the announcement of their forthcoming West Coast tour, which kicks off on April 28 in Nashville, TN, as well as the release of their self-titled fourth studio album, set to arrive on April 26, Boys Of Fall have returned with the second single from their upcoming record titled “Stray.” The four-piece’s latest release marks their first new music since their September 2023 single, “Almost Happy.”
Acting as the group’s heaviest release to date, “Stray” opens through a powerful array of hard-hitting instrumentation and layers of commanding vocals. The track showcases a dynamic interplay between clean vocal runs and guttural growls, creating an emotional whirlwind that immediately grabs the listener’s attention. With its raw intensity and unapologetic energy, “Stray” captures the essence of an emotional kaleidoscope, offering a glimpse into the ebbs and flows of a multifaceted journey through love and loss.
“This emotionally and musically heavy song about love loss and losing a part of yourself from what
you once knew in a relationship,” vocalist Michael Martenson shares of “Stray.”
Of their forthcoming self-titled record, Martenson—who produced, mixed, and mastered the entire album—reflects, “I don’t even know where to start. To think we’d get to four albums is something none of us expected. And with all the change that life has thrown at all of us, we really felt like it was time for a self-titled. Something that embodies where we’re at in our lives. What we’ve been through. The pain, heartaches, love lost, and love found.”

He continues, “To say we’re proud of this album is an understatement. It was one of the most difficult albums we’ve ever written coming out of ‘Distance,’ and yet when we listen back, we’re filled with joy and excitement. This album is for everyone who’s ever been with us. From day one to eleven years later. To those who have been with us and supported us through every up and down. We are now and forever, Boys Of Fall”
