Boundaries are a band that you should have a keen eye on. Making a name for themselves as one of the finest new bands bringing back the sounds of early 00s metalcore, each track they share is a step up the ladder. With the recent announcement they’re going to be hitting the road with Counterparts, it seems a perfect time to show the world what they are made of.
And that’s where their new track “Armageddon” comes in. A pulverizing slab of metalcore fury, that channels all the best parts of Misery Signals and Poison The Well, it is a welcome addition to the modern scene. From the euphorically crushing atmosphere to the, “Let winds give wings to my screams” mosh call, it is pit-spinning perfection from beginning to end.
It also comes paired with the previously released “Bedlam”, making this is a special two-song single. Both were recorded during the sessions for Boundaries’ 2022 album Burying Brightness.
Guitarist Cory Emond had this to say about the tracks:
“Our goal is to write exactly the kinds of songs we want to with no barriers. I feel like we did that. We’ve always wanted to have songs with singing, but we were never able to capture it until now. We also have some of the heaviest songs we’ve ever written. It has both extremes.”
