BLACK & PUNK: Myke Terry

So, Myke Terry is not “technically” a punk. There is an overlap, though, with hardcore and metal. Plus, it’s hard not to mention Myke Terry when you think of musicians that have done one of the most punk rock things a person can do—pursue their dream of making music, no matter what.

To get to where he is now Myke Terry followed his passion for music even when the road was hard. He persevered through a period of homelessness and hard times so the world could hear his voice. Since his first band, Cassius, Terry has steadily created music for almost twenty years. After Cassius, he joined Bury Your Dead and was a driving factor in the band’s growth. Currently Terry is one of the vocalists in the band VOLUMES. Their shows are not only a killer good time but can also be a deeply moving experience, attributed in part, to Myke Terry’s soulful voice. His powerful vocals and boundless energy on stage are absolutely captivating. Terry’s performances are a binding element for fans of VOLUMES, bringing everyone closer. With musical talents that are as many and varied as his, we look forward to every new VOLUMES release and every new project Terry is a part of. There will be more to write about Myke Terry’s music for years to come, and we’ll just keep listening.
