After captivating audiences with their debut independent release, “Nevermind,” earlier this year, Australian pop-punk mainstays Between You & Me have launched their latest sonic gem—the scream-worthy new single, “YEAH!” Sam Guaiana, who previously worked with the band on their 2021 full-length album Armageddon, produced the single after flying from Canada to Australia at the top of the year.

Embarking on a musical journey guided by the tender caress of an acoustic guitar, “YEAH!” swiftly metamorphoses into a sun-drenched, infectious masterpiece. Across the track, vocalist Jake Wilson reigns supreme, wielding his commanding prowess to seize your attention. As the track surges forward to its climax, it reaches its peak with an irresistibly addictive sing-along chorus, instantly distinguishing itself within Between You & Me‘s ever-expanding discography.

Across the track’s accompanying music video, brought to life by creative director/editor Max Pasalic, the band effortlessly captures the sun-soaked, exhilarating energy of the catchy-as-hell tune. Highlighted by sunny shots of Wilson crooning to “YEAH!” and clips of the band on tour, the video is just as contagious as the track itself.

Wilson shares that the new track is about “living your best life and not caring what anyone else thinks.”

“I imagine this song playing in the montage scene of an early 2000s bratty comedy film,” Wilson adds. “Stylistically, it’s a big shift for BYAM, but we wanted to bring beachy summer vibes to a fun and carefree song.”

More on Between You & Me

Earlier this year, Between You & Me appeared alongside Knuckle Puck and Real Friends across their massive co-headlining North American tour. Returning to their homeland, BYAM embarked on a stint of intimate headline shows. During these, the band was able to showcase their February release “Nevermind.” While “Nevermind” and “YEAH!” currently stand alone as singles, we’re hopeful that there will be a fuller, new collection arriving from the group very very soon!
