Better Lovers have dropped their new track, “The Flowering,” via SharpTone Records. The energetic song’s music video goes from a normal performance to something that emits Little Shop Of Horrors vibes, with plants coming to life to devour the act.

Vocalist Greg Puciato delivers emotive screams with poetic lyrics, “The blossom needs her pollen/The moth emerges eating from her seeds/Your roots can tie you down/Tell you you’re not deserving.” With the instrumentation of fast drums, smart guitar work, plus a band that infuses humor into darker situations, the music video ends with the act in the stomach of these evil plants and the vines, ending the song with a cymbal hit.

The metal group will head out on their God Made Me An Animal spring tour with SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Greyhaven, and Foreign Hands later this month. They’ll travel overseas in the summer, where they’ll make stops around Europe and the UK. Check out where they’re performing below.
