China has BANNED “Christopher Robin” and Winnie the Pooh :(

Disney’s Winnie The Pooh spin-off film, “Christopher Robin,” looks AWESOME.  It looks like a movie that will just pull at our heart strings, bring some nostalgia, and also hopefully some laughs.

Because let’s be honest, who doesn’t like Winnie the Pooh!  It’s WINNIE THE POOH!!!!!
The original classic TV show was great.  Even had Walt Disney in person narrating it.  That’s some old school right there.  The remakes have been great.  The books rule.  Hell.  Remember the Bouncing Tigger phase?!

Well we finally found out who doesn’t like the beloved Pooh-bear; the Chinese government.

Yes.  China has officially BANNED “Christopher Robin,” from being shown in the country.  And although no official reason has been given why, it may actually come down to the fact that Winnie looks like China’s President Xi Jinping.  and NO, THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote, “A source pins the blame on the country’s crusade against images of the Winnie the Pooh character, which has become a symbol of the resistance with foes of the ruling Communist Party, namely Chinese leader Xi Jinping.”

Let’s just take a look at the comparison, shall we?

 .

LOL.   Well.  I guessss I can see it.  But to BAN THE WHOLE MOVIE?!   Terrible!

This isn’t the first time China has done this.  For example, anybody with kids knows this damn pig.

Welp, you guessed it.  PEPPA THE PIG is banned on one of China’s most popular video platforms for, “being a ‘subversive’ icon for slackers and anti-social young people,” as well as being too “Gangster.”  Yes these are true stories.

So we’ve got WINNIE THE POOH not being allowed to be shown in China to it’s 1.3 billion people.

Peppa the freaking pig is banned.

And I just feel bad for any of the emo kids in China who won’t be able to relate with Eeyore.  Because Eeyore is the Original Emo .  (I copyrighted that statement by the way.  and have t-shirts being printed that say it.  so don’t try to steal that shit from me)

poor Eeyore.  and yes I still own a Bouncing Tigger doll.
