BEL — “Fresh Start”

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… and by that, I mean it’s pop girl summer. Of course, we love Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan, but we also adore the up-and-coming stars, like Los Angeles’s BEL. The artist has a soothing, lounge singer-esque tone as she navigates the 20-something struggle of moving onward and upward, sometimes literally.

BEL wrote this track when she was moving out of a well-loved apartment. “I was really emotional about it, but my friends knew just how to cheer me up and show me the bright side of it.
