Halloween is essentially alternative and goth person Christmas. It has everything: Spiders, ghosts, creepy clowns, horror movies galore, sick playlists, and of course, Reese’s Pumpkins—the best shape of all. If you’ve been looking through social media, you’ve definitely seen amazing costumes this year, including multiple iterations of hippo starlet Moo Deng, music video and festival-inspired Chappell Roans, Beetlejuice fits in honor of the new film, and much more.
Of course, our favorite alt-rock stars showed up and showed out this year with classic Tim Burton-inspired costumes all the way to blockbuster movie looks. Hope you all had the spookiest and most thrilling Halloween!
MisterWives’ Mandy Lee as Wednesday Addams
MisterWives? More like MonsterWives. JK! There’s no tricks, only treats here, with the band’s dazzling Addams Family get-up. *snap snap*
Suicidal Tendencies’ Jay Weinberg as Alien
No lie, I would gladly hug this little face-hugger so fast. I will suffer the consequences. P.S. Jay and Chloe Weinberg are Halloween royalty and always come up with fun family costumes. Check out their Over The Garden Wall fits from 2023.
Johnnie Guilbert and Grace Van Dien as Corpse Bride
Artist and social media personality Johnnie Guilbert and actress Grace Van Dien are couple goals on a normal day, but this Corpse Bride Emily and Victor costume makes us even more obsessed with them.
Honey Revenge as Vampires
I vant to listen to “Airhead” 24/7. Straight up, Honey Revenge make the cutest vamps we’ve ever seen. They’re always a bloody good time live.
Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz as The Joker
If Pete Wentz is The Joker… does that mean Patrick Stump is Batman?
Bishop Briggs as Spiderman
Frankly, Bishop Briggs has superpowers with or without the Spiderman suit. I mean, have you heard Tell My Therapist I’m Fine?
The Linda Lindas as Zombies
Your fave punk-rockers The Linda Lindas absolutely kill it whenever they take the stage, and this time, we mean that literally.
Max Frost as Rex Kwon Do
Now, for only $300, you can sign up right now for Max Frost’s eight-week program. P.S. The cat does give off major Napoleon vibes, so well done on this Halloween.
Andrew McMahon as Ron Swanson
Andrew McMahon and his family make up the most wonderful local officials from Pawnee. And, of course, we are utterly starstruck over Little Sebastian.
Frank Iero as Eleven
There’s nothing strange here about My Chemical Romance and L.S. Dunes icon Frank Iero rocking this sick Eleven look. We hope your trick-or-treat bag is full of Eggos.
House Of Protection’s Aric Improta as Paulie Bleeker
Major congratulations to House Of Protection‘s Aric Improta and his wife Yvonne on their growing family. This was the perfect Halloween to rock the Juno costumes.
