Let’s be honest…2025 kinda sucked…but it was also hot, freakishly hot. Let me explain! Even though every modern day as an American feels like a waking nightmare, we could rely on one thing: sexy actors and actresses lighting up our screams with absolute weirdo behavior. In fact, 2025 was the year of hot freaks. From Jacob Elordi starring as The Creature in the newly released Frankenstein to Hailee Steinfeld (of The Cab music video fame) in the cult classic Sinners, these are our favorite sexy oddballs who let their freak flags fly.
Jacob Elordi
Frankenstein has been on Netflix for less than a week, and Jacob Elordi’s portrayal of The Creature has the girlies in heat…respectfully. In fact, many Twitter users are romanticizing a hug in the movie…it’s just that horny. Honestly, Guillermo del Toro really assembled the Avengers of hot freaks with Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, and Lars Mikkelsen also in starring roles.
Elordi, who broke out into mainstream notoriety with his roles in The Kissing Booth and Euphoria, cracked my hot freak hall of fame with 2023’s Saltburn, and is now rising the ranks with his 10+ hours of creature makeup and nuanced monster performance. Uniquely, Elordi crafted his sexy growls and grunts by practicing Tibetan throat chanting. After watching the movie and hearing those noises, it only makes sense to place The Creature at the top of your celebrity crush list, TBH.
Hailee Steinfeld
Just…just watch this scene…this sexy, hot scene from a vampire movie. Enough said.
Emma Stone
From Superbad to Bugonia, Emma Stone’s career has come a long way, and each project has been utterly iconic. Stone is so committed to her latest role in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia, she literally shaved her head to portray the corporate powerhouse Michelle Fuller. Frankly, with or without hair, Stone steals every minute on screen and perfectly portrays the high-powered individual who is being tortured in a basement by dudes who think she’s an alien. Don’t worry, that’s not a spoiler! However, if you want to witness one of Stone’s best, most unhinged, out-of-this-world (wink, wink) performances ever…Bugonia tickets are in your future. And yes, it is just as good as Poor Things, IMHO.
Bill Skarsgård
Such a beautiful face, and such a wild set of eyes. Literally. Have you seen what this guy can do to his face in the role of Pennywise for the It films and HBO’s latest Welcome To Derry series? His smile, his crossed eyeballs, his stunning clown hair, he really is the whole package of cute weirdo in this character. And, of course, we can’t ignore his dazzling work as Count Orlok in Robert Eggers’ instant Christmas classic, Nosferatu. Bill Skarsgård rocks the mustache so well…sigh… Ellen Hutter could’ve really had all that Count to herself. More for me…perhaps?
Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson may have kicked off his career as the charming, albeit intense, Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga, but the man continued his path of stardom post-Team Edward frenzy by portraying weird, goofy characters. But with that face…we can’t help but fall in love with his Lighthouse portrayal of Thomas Howard opposite fellow hot freak Willem Dafoe. Admittedly, he really let his freak flag fly as the voice actor for Heron in the award-winning The Boy And The Heron. (When I first heard the character voice…I couldn’t believe it either.)
Though in 2025, he arrived on screens not once, but twice as a sexy weirdo, perhaps we need to make him the Hot Freak King. As multiple iterations of Mickey Barnes in Mickey 17, he ends up almost having a threesome with himselves and his girlfriend. And to that, I say…director Bong Joon Ho should’ve let them keep going…
However, if you’re yearning for some true-to-form Pattinson freakiness, rest assured, the man is at a theater near you, starring opposite Jennifer Lawrence in Die My Love, which just arrived on November 7.
