The Gunz Show – Interview w/ The Madden Brothers

Benji and Joel Madden.  Such a long journey they’ve had since the early Good Charlotte days. I’m proud to have been able to see them play and tour with such bands like FENIX TX and “A” New Found Glory back in the day. And just the growth that they’ve had from album to album. From their self-titled album, you knew that GC had something unique to them. They were part of the original mall punk phase, to the pop punk, to the emo era, to all of it and still put out a TON of singles. Literally think about how many f’n hit songs GC had.  It’s wild.

But now it’s a different time for the twins. And I have to say, I enjoy it. This new album of theirs is really solid – it’s got a unique, chill vibe aspect to it that I think can really do well.

I had the opportunity to speak with Joel about this and it’s a ballin interview. Give it a listen.

NOTE:  The sound is kind of wacky on my part.  I blame Madison Square Garden, where I broadcast out of. Apparently they found out I don’t like the Knicks.
