Dear All Time Low and You Me At Six,
Hey guys. Long time fan, first time letter-writer.
I want to start off with saying you’re all amazing. No, seriously. I’ve listened to both of your bands for years, have seen you multiple times, and generally just flail around when people mention any of you.
I hope all is well, especially with your health! Are you on Weight Watchers with Mrs. Clause yet? Why do I ask? Well, it was in the news recently that Oprah just purchased part of Weight Watchers and you seem to be a really big fan of Oprah.
On the tenth day of Christmas, idobi gave to me holiday songs sung by Urie. Dear Brendon Urie-Claus, We’re all huge fans here at idobi–some of us staff converse exclusively in Panic! At The Disco GIFs, and every time you release a new tune, it really feels like Christmas has come early. While I’m […]
For Christmas this year, I don’t want the Nintendo DS I asked for when I was twelve, or the sled I wanted when I was five. All I want is to bring the whole world joy—in the form of a collaboration between the most badass females in the alternative music scene.
This year for Christmas I want you to tell us your name. Your husband has a different moniker for every continent: St. Nick, Father Christmas, Santa, Père Noel, Kris Kringle. You’d think he’s wanted for credit card fraud with all these pseudonyms. Wait.
For Christmas, I would like just a few things. I wish you would record a version of “Far Too Young To Die†with Halsey. The dark dance beat goes perfectly with her style of music. After that, you could team up for a version of her song “Gasolineâ€.
Let me start this letter off by commending you for the many things you have given us this year. Your efforts haven’t gone unappreciated. But, as it is the Christmas season, I feel there is something special you have been holding out on that would warm our frozen toes and help start 2016 off with a bang. That one thing: Punk Goes Disney.
I’m not ashamed to say that I still listen to the same music that I listened to ten years ago. The only difference is that back then, most of the music I listened to came from you. What I want for Christmas is fairly simple, I’d love for you to be the go-to indie record label again. I long for the days of Taking Back Sunday, Spitalfield, The Forecast, and Thursday.
So, I hear you guys are doing a world tour together next year for the citizens of earth. Sounds like you’ll be spending quite a lot of time together—on stage, on planes, during (un)comfortably long van drives, pranking each other. Even though you haven’t announced the North American leg of the tour (yet), it’s a match that pop punkers everywhere are pining over—myself included.
