Los Angeles – Rocker Peter Frampton is planning to record a track with Pearl Jam for his upcoming album of instrumentals, he said on Wednesday. In an interview with former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones on his Los Angeles-based radio show, Jonesy’s Jukebox, Frampton said he planned to fly up to Seattle the following day to reunite with the band. As if Dolly Parton launching a 30-track rock album on November 17 wasn’t exciting enough, the artist recently released even more bonus tracks. Add Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger to the list of rock stars who have been Simpsons-ized. As part of the campaign to promote his latest solo album, Goddess In The Doorway, Jagger has provided his voice for a future episode of the popular animated Fox television show The Simpsons. Jagger reportedly recorded his parts last week, but the show’s producers are keeping details of his involvement under wraps for the time being. Journey guitarist Neal Schon wanted Arrival, the group’s first album in five years and its first since 1978 without frontman Steve Perry, to rock harder and shed some of the San Francisco band’s reputation for ballads.
