Former Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has revealed plans to unveil a new line of rock ‘n’ roll clothing titled N.Sixx, and it will hit shopping malls and outlet stores in April. The first wave in his partnership with Dragonfly consists of shirts, panties, and baby tees which are inspired by Sixx’s tattoos. Sixx has been concentrating on his new band, Brides Of Destruction, and writing a new book, The Heroin Diaries, which will be portrayed in a VH1 special.

Mötley Crüe has kick-started legal action against another former manager. The “Shout at the Devil” purveyors have filed a lawsuit against Burt Stein and his companies B Entertainment and Gold Mountain Entertainment, alleging the companies screwed the band out of large sums of money by putting the manager’s interests ahead of the Crüe. The suit, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims Stein, who also represents one of the individual bandmembers, “stalled and obstructed” talks Mötley Crüe had with various music-industry folk about recording a new album and hitting the road in 2008. Motley Crue is taking a page from the Ozzy Osbourne playbook by launching its own touring hard-rock festival, the band said on Tuesday. Crue Fest, whose roster also includes Grammy-nominated acts Buckcherry and Papa Roach, will kick off in West Palm Beach, Fla., on July 1, and take in 41 cities across United States and Canada. Claiming that their free-speech rights had been violated, Mötley Crüe filed suit against NBC, the network that banned the group for dropping the F-bomb on a live New Year’s Eve broadcast of “The Tonight Show.” “This ban constitutes governmentally pressured censorship and violates the law the same as if the government itself had ordered the censorship,” read the suit, filed in Los Angeles federal court on Tuesday.
